Hamster has announced the release of Arcade Archives 2 Stinger, a classic shooter arriving on October 15. The title will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and Windows PC via Xbox Play Anywhere. The standard price is set at 1,100 yen.
Originally released by Seibu Kaihatsu in 1983, the game tasks players with controlling the Stinger Wolf. The primary objective involves navigating through enemy bases infested with malevolent lifeforms to reach the central core.
This updated version introduces a revamped user interface and modern quality-of-life features. Players can utilize customizable button configurations, rapid-fire settings, multiple save slots for the original mode, and a rewind function. Competitive elements include online leaderboards for high score, time attack, and caravan modes.
Owners of the original PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch versions of Arcade Archives Stinger are eligible for a discounted upgrade price of 330 yen for the respective new platform releases. Additionally, the series continues to offer branded merchandise, including apparel and phone cases, through Amazon Merch on Demand.
