Pokemon Korea has officially announced that the Pokemon Fossil Museum special exhibition will be held at the National Gwangju Science Museum. This event marks the second international venue for the exhibition following its successful run in the United States.

The exhibition serves as an educational initiative designed to spark scientific curiosity by comparing Pokemon from the game series with real-world fossils and prehistoric creatures. Visitors can observe side-by-side displays, such as the Tarbosaurus dinosaur skeleton paired with the Tyrant Pokemon Tyrantrum, and ammonite fossils alongside the Spiral Pokemon Omanyte.

National Gwangju Science Museum Director Lee Jeong-gu stated that the exhibition aims to make paleontology accessible and enjoyable for families and children. By connecting the process of fossil excavation and research with the Pokemon universe, the organizers hope to provide an engaging learning experience during the winter season.

The exhibition is scheduled to open in mid-December 2026 and will remain at the National Gwangju Science Museum until the summer of 2027. Further details regarding the event will be provided at a later date.
