The Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG booster pack Beyond the Brave is scheduled for release on the 13th. This set is garnering significant attention for introducing versatile cards, specifically 'Tenhadokubo no Dai-teki' and 'Cosmic Hurricane,' which are expected to impact the competitive meta.
These cards focus on countering established fields rather than merely preventing initial plays. 'Tenhadokubo no Dai-teki' allows players to tribute an opponent's monster for an advance summon if they control no monsters, effectively bypassing standard destruction effects. Once summoned, it can negate and destroy effects activated from the hand, graveyard, or banishment zone, and force opponent monsters into defense position during the battle phase.
'Cosmic Hurricane' is a normal spell card that returns up to two cards on the field to the hand. It forces both players to return an equal number of cards from their hand to the bottom of the deck, requiring strategic decision-making regarding resource management. Because the user must also adjust their own hand, the card does not guarantee a one-sided advantage.
Beyond the Brave also includes support and remakes for existing themes like 'Prison God' and 'Ars=Magna.' By providing both theme-specific support and versatile tools for field breakthroughs, the pack aims to increase deck variety and introduce new variables to the competitive environment.
