Roblox has announced the rollout of a streamlined publishing process and a new "Invite Early Testers" feature for its developer community. These updates, previously previewed at the Roblox Developers Conference, aim to simplify the creation workflow and encourage the release of more new titles on the platform.
The updated publishing flow guides creators through the necessary steps to go live. For games without age-restricted content, the previous compliance questionnaire, which could reach up to 30 questions, has been reduced to a single inquiry. This change allows most games to be published immediately for players aged 16 and older.
The new "Invite Early Testers" feature enables creators aged 9 and older with verified ages to invite up to 10 people to play their games before a public release. Owners can invite friends for personal projects or group members for group-owned games, provided the testers are of a similar age group to the owner.
Safety remains a priority during these testing sessions, as standard reporting and safety measures continue to apply. Furthermore, parents retain the ability to restrict participation for users under the age of 16. These features will be available to all creators via the Creator Hub and Studio in the coming weeks.
