Developer Foxy Voxel has released a new diplomacy update for the colony simulation game Going Medieval. Following the game's 1.0 launch in March, this update expands interactions with the 12 existing NPC factions, excluding the cannibal faction type.
Players can now send caravans to other settlements to request boons, such as bandit camp clearance, rare objects, or defensive support. These deals require reciprocal actions, including providing livestock, lending settlers, or participating in combat. Only one active diplomatic agreement is permitted at a time.
Non-hostile factions may now send envoys to present specific requests, functioning as quests where players decide the compensation. Additionally, the update enables hiring mercenaries for combat or specialists for tasks like farming and tailoring.
Beyond diplomacy, the update incorporates faction-specific resources, adjustments to regional markets, and various quality of life improvements. Further details regarding these changes, including new events and bug fixes, are available on Steam.
