Sony Patent Turns Game Audio Into Visual Cues for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Players
Sony Interactive Entertainment has filed a patent application titled Audio Processing System and Method, which outlines a technology designed to convert in-game audio into visual representations for players who are deaf or hard of hearing. This system aims to categorize the purpose of specific sounds, such as environmental descriptions or danger warnings, and translate them into visual icons, shapes, or onomatopoeic text.
