Recent industry reports indicate that the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI may launch during the first quarter of 2027. While Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed a computer release, this information stems from four anonymous industry sources familiar with the studio's internal plans.
GamesBeat, the outlet that published these claims, noted that they attempted to contact a Rockstar representative for comment prior to publication but received no response. The studio currently maintains a focus on the console launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, scheduled for November 19, 2026.
If this timeline holds, the gap between the console and PC versions would be significantly shorter than previous titles. For comparison, Grand Theft Auto V arrived on PC approximately one year and seven months after its initial console debut, while Red Dead Redemption 2 followed its console release by about one year.
Although no official announcement exists, Take-Two Interactive leadership has previously acknowledged the importance of the PC community. Additionally, journalist Andy Robinson of VGC recently suggested that a PC version might arrive sooner than many observers initially anticipated.
