Yuji Horii, the creator of the Dragon Quest series, recently announced the release of a new browser-based game developed entirely through artificial intelligence. Horii shared on the social media platform X that the project, titled Komiya na Sala de Interrogatório, required approximately 30 minutes to complete.

The game functions as a mini-visual novel where players assume the role of a police officer interrogating a 72-year-old suspect named Komiya. The suspect is accused of robbing a resale shop, and the player must identify inconsistencies in his statements to uncover the truth behind the crime.

Mechanically, the experience involves presenting evidence to challenge the suspect's claims. Horii notes that players must carefully manage the suspect's stress levels; applying excessive pressure causes Komiya to remain silent, which prevents the player from obtaining necessary information to solve the case.

Reflecting on the development process, Horii contrasted this modern AI-assisted workflow with his earlier work on The Portopia Serial Murder Case, where he handled all writing, art, and programming independently. He expressed surprise at how AI tools now allow for game creation without traditional programming or artistic skills.
