The extraction shooter Arc Raiders has seen a notable resurgence on Steam, climbing to fifth place on the platform's best-selling games list. This performance follows the release of a major update, positioning the title behind recent releases like Star Wars: Galactic Racer and Gears of War: E-Day.
Concurrent player counts have surpassed triple digits for the first time since May, reaching 106,000 players. Additionally, the new Frozen Trail Collector's Set cosmetic DLC has achieved success, currently ranking eighth among best-selling items on the platform.
This update marks the first release under Embark's new semi-annual update cadence, a strategy implemented to provide developers with a healthier work environment. While the game maintained an average of 40,000 concurrent players in September, these new figures represent a significant increase from recent months.
Although the long-term impact of this revised roadmap remains to be seen, the game is currently off to a strong start. Furthermore, Arc Raiders will be available to play for free across all supported platforms throughout the upcoming weekend.
