Publisher Captcha Games and developer Jingu Studio have announced that their upcoming title, Shanhai Huanjing: Infinite Chapter, is scheduled for a free release on Steam on November 12. This role-playing game features a pixel-art aesthetic inspired by the Classic of Mountains and Seas mythology.
The gameplay combines idle mechanics, card-based combat, and match-three puzzles. Designed for casual players, the title emphasizes strategic depth and character progression, allowing users to construct various playstyles and team compositions.
The developers claim a generous reward system, promising new players 100 draws via the in-game mailbox. Daily logins, active play, and quest completion also provide draws and currency, with a stated weekly guarantee of 7 to 9 legendary cards. Additional mechanics include a 100% drop rate for wish-list characters from gold cards and weekly events offering selectable cards.
Jingu Studio asserts that all progression resources are obtainable for free, catering to research-oriented players who prefer not to spend money. While microtransactions are available to accelerate growth, the developers aim to balance monetization with accessibility for non-paying users.
