Developer IO Interactive has released the first content DLC for 007 First Light, fulfilling promises made when the game launched earlier this year. Titled 007 First Light Extended Operations, the update is available for free and introduces five new missions to the TacSim mode, alongside a photo mode, new outfits, and a New Game Plus mode.
Four of the new operations center around the Valhalla supercar previously featured only once in the campaign. According to the trailer, these missions function as driving challenges where players use the vehicle's weapons and gadgets against the clock, though the car cannot yet be used in other driving missions.
The newly added New Game Plus mode arrives alongside a new "00" difficulty level, which promises to be significantly more challenging than the original "Purista" setting. On this new difficulty, enemies react faster, certain NPCs are replaced with smarter variants, and combat is considerably more unforgiving, resulting in death after just two hits alongside a tighter parry window.
In addition to these features, IO Interactive updated weapon animations and introduced a mechanic allowing enemies to throw players off cliffs. While the release does not include a story expansion, it provides free content as players await future official adventures for James Bond.
