IKEA and Xbox have teamed up to release YXSTABY, a new nine-piece gaming-inspired collection designed for the home. Co-developed by design teams from both companies, the lineup combines performance, comfort, and storage solutions.
The collection draws significant design inspiration from the Xbox controller. Items include a cushion and a shiny stainless steel decorative platter shaped after the classic D-pad, a mirrored display box for collectibles, a gaming lounge chair, a monitor stand, a TV stand on castors, a side table on castors, and a laptop support featuring storage and accessories.
Among the items, the thumbstick stool was developed directly from the original 3D design files of the Xbox Wireless Controller, incorporating a grip texture designed to keep a person in place.
The YXSTABY collection launches in IKEA stores today and will become available online later this year, with availability varying by market.
