Key information

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will launch on October 23, featuring a new extraction shooter mode called DMZ. This mode will be available alongside the game's campaign and multiplayer components on PlayStation 5.

Players manage their progress through the Forward Operating Base (FOB), which serves as the central command post. Starting as a small outpost, the base grows into a facility with over 12 features as players complete operations. Key facilities include an operator management system, a mission tablet for tracking objectives, a stash for gear, and a firing range for weapon testing.

As players progress from level 1 to 70, they unlock advanced facilities like a 3D printer for crafting, a weapon merchant, and a boss board for tracking high-value targets. Players can choose between story missions, dynamic operations, or free exploration. Success in these missions, measured by a grade-based evaluation system, allows players to earn DMZ cash and XP.

The game environment, known as Hajin, features varying threat levels where stealth may be required to avoid intense enemy responses. Players can utilize land, sea, and air vehicles, which can be maintained at gas stations. Future content updates are planned following the initial release.
