Key information

SOOP is broadening its sports content portfolio by launching and operating a professional women's volleyball team named SOOP Super's. This initiative marks a transition from merely broadcasting various professional and amateur sports to direct team management.

The organization intends to produce diverse content, including training sessions, daily routines, and behind-the-scenes footage. During the July 2026 South Korean national volleyball team evaluation matches, players Go Ye-rim and Jeon Sae-yan provided commentary, offering tactical insights while interacting with viewers in real time.

A key component of the strategy involves integrating the streamer ecosystem with the volleyball team. By hosting joint broadcasts between players and streamers, alongside pre- and post-match live events, SOOP aims to attract both traditional volleyball fans and streaming platform audiences.

The team held an inauguration ceremony on the 3rd at the SOOP Stadium in Gwangju, Jeonnam, where they unveiled their mascot, uniform, and anthem. The SOOP Super's are scheduled to play their first official match at the Yeosu KOVO Cup on the 11th, followed by their inaugural V-League home game on November 5th.
