Key information
British developer Bulkhead has announced that the second season of its shooter Wardogs will launch on October 15. The update aims to address community concerns regarding faction imbalances while introducing new gameplay mechanics and equipment.
To resolve faction disparities, the Bakurani map will feature adjusted spawn points, and the Lonestar faction's uniform saturation will be reduced. Season 2 will also provide Lonestar players with bonuses to in-game currency and experience points. New tactical options include four firearms, such as the TCX-Spear and M14, alongside Molotov cocktails that offer two throwing styles. Additionally, the update adds vehicles like the Wolf-110 transport and T-72 tank, plus defensive structures like MG nests.
Environmental changes include a new rain weather preset that impacts visibility, engagement ranges, and audio, with lightning effects masking footsteps. A trial gambling merchant system allows players to set objectives and wagers for potential high rewards, though it may be removed if abused. Combat balance adjustments include battery-powered infrared rangefinders and modified heavy helmets that now offer increased suppression resistance at the cost of reduced hearing and restricted vision.
Beyond equipment changes, Bulkhead is refining core mechanics, including weapon damage, recoil, and suppression values. The update also improves squad coordination, vehicle handling, controller responsiveness, and team supply rewards to enhance the overall gameplay experience.
