Key information
Nexon is expanding its MapleStory intellectual property beyond virtual environments by establishing permanent offline spaces across Seoul, including Hongdae, Gangnam, Jamsil, and Jeju. These diverse venues incorporate escape rooms, a PC cafe, a theme park area, and a cafe to translate the game world into physical experiences.
The MapleStory Escape escape room in Hongdae launched its fourth theme, Edelstein The Beginning, on October 5, following earlier themes like Cunning City and Arcade. Visitors solve clues to complete five missing books from the Library of Dimensions, accommodating groups of two to six people per session with weekly reservations opening on Mondays.
Other offline touchpoints include the Maple Azit PC cafe near Gangnam Station featuring roughly two hundred pyeong and about one hundred seventy seats, the Maple Island theme park zone at Lotte World Adventure boasting four attractions, and Cafe MapleStory operating within the Nexon Museum in Jeju since 2024.
These permanent locations offer themed merchandise, specialized foods inspired by in-game elements, and distinctive musical releases such as retro-style LP records. Nexon continues to connect the game universe with everyday physical encounters through these varied regional attractions.
