Key information
Kakao Games has announced significant improvements to the MMORPG Dokkaebi World, focusing on increasing the supply of essential currencies and growth materials. During a live broadcast on the 9th, developers addressed player feedback regarding the scarcity of items like Yohonseok and Dan, which were difficult to obtain due to low drop rates.
To resolve these shortages, the development team is implementing a gradual increase in item drop rates. Specifically, players will receive a retroactive payback for Dan consumed before the update. Furthermore, developers are adding new missions to guild content to provide easier access to Dosul selection boxes, while also adjusting drop rates to favor higher-level hunting grounds over low-level areas.
The team acknowledged that low rare equipment drop rates have hindered Yohonseok acquisition. They plan to address this through upcoming updates rather than selling the currency in packages, which they rejected to maintain player trust. Additionally, the developers are refining gameplay mechanics, such as allowing Dan drops in the Nak-hwa Battlefield and improving remote shop accessibility for currency items.
Looking ahead, the developers committed to ongoing communication and balance adjustments. A major update scheduled for the 13th will introduce a marriage system and a long-term roadmap. While features like character gender changes and server creation limit removals are under consideration, the team is prioritizing stability and addressing current queue issues before implementing further expansions.
