Chernin Entertainment has been selected to handle the film and television series adaptations for Embark Studios' popular titles 'ARC Raiders' and 'The Finals' following a competitive bidding process among multiple production companies and studios.

'ARC Raiders' is set on a future ruined Earth threatened by mysterious mechanized 'ARC' enemies where players survive as 'Raiders'. Released in October 2025, the game has surpassed 16 million copies in global sales and won awards including Best Multiplayer Game at the 2025 Game Awards and 2026 BAFTA Games Awards, alongside Online Game of the Year at the 29th DICE Awards. Nexon plans to launch its largest update yet, titled 'Frozen Trail', on October 7.

'The Finals' is a free-to-play first-person shooter set in a virtual combat game show featuring physics-based environmental destruction and unscripted combat across arenas modeled after real locations like Monaco and Las Vegas. Over three years, it has drawn more than 30 million players worldwide, with Season 12 scheduled for release on October 20.

Nexon Chairman and Embark Studios founder Patrick Söderlund stated that the partnership will expand the two games into deep transmedia experiences, while Chernin Entertainment film president David Ready praised the titles as ambitious global intellectual properties with massive franchise potential across film and television.
