Key information

Japanese developer Nukenin, Inc. has officially unveiled its upcoming title, Yomino, by launching a Steam page. The studio plans to hold a public demonstration of the game at Tokyo Game Dungeon 14 on October 31, located at booth 2F-20. Additionally, interested players can register for a playtest scheduled for early November.

Yomino is a dark, Japanese-style Roguelike where players navigate a hellish landscape to defeat demons and eventually confront Enma. The core mechanics involve placing blocks on a grid to clear rows, with scores calculated by multiplying block values by row totals. Players can further amplify these scores by utilizing various charms, which modify the mathematical rules of the game.

The game features over 100 charms, alongside unique block types, board patterns, and forbidden techniques that carry specific costs. Players must contend with unfair obstacles imposed by guardians on each level. Currently, the game includes five distinct boards and seven difficulty levels, with each session designed to last between 20 and 40 minutes.

Upon release, the title will support a wide range of languages, including Traditional and Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Italian, German, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
