The independent immersive simulation game Militsioner has released its first public demo on Steam. Developed by TALLBOYS and published by CRITICAL REFLEX, the title tasks players with escaping a surreal city while being monitored by a colossal police officer. The demo allows users to experience the game's first act.
Gameplay centers on escaping the city through various methods, such as utilizing a funicular. Players are granted significant freedom to navigate situations using stealth, bribery, negotiation, or criminal acts. The game features citizens with individual routines and emotional states that react dynamically to player behavior, potentially aiding or hindering escape efforts.
The primary antagonist is the Colossal Policeman, who constantly observes the environment from above. If players make excessive noise or break the law, the giant officer will attempt to apprehend them, forcing players to hide or seek refuge. The narrative follows a protagonist accused of a crime they did not commit.
Militsioner is scheduled for release in 2027 on PC and Xbox Series X|S, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass. Currently, the trial version is exclusive to Steam. No specific release date has been confirmed beyond the 2027 window.
