Key information

Microsoft has officially introduced the Xbox Nano controller, a new pocket-sized hardware option designed as a more affordable alternative to existing models. Priced at $49.99, the device is specifically marketed toward younger players, individuals with smaller hands, or users prioritizing portability.

The controller measures 5 inches in width and weighs 3.5 ounces, making it significantly smaller and lighter than the standard 6-inch Xbox Wireless and Elite controllers. Despite these dimensions, the hardware retains all 18 standard gameplay inputs found on full-sized versions.

Equipped with a rechargeable battery that utilizes USB-C for charging, the device offers connectivity via Bluetooth for PCs, mobile phones, and smart TVs. Official support extends to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Windows, Android, and iOS platforms.

The Xbox Nano controller is scheduled for release on Nov. 4 in select territories, with pre-orders currently open. To mitigate scalping, Microsoft has limited purchases to five units per account. Additionally, a holiday promotion in the United States will bundle the controller with two months of Game Pass Ultimate for select Samsung TV buyers.
