Key information

Xbox CEO Asha Sharma informed employees during an all-hands meeting that Microsoft is preparing to do something unique regarding Grand Theft Auto VI. Sources familiar with Microsoft's plans revealed that this teaser refers to a deal securing game streaming rights for Grand Theft Auto VI.

The agreement allows Xbox Cloud Gaming to stream Grand Theft Auto VI to players at launch. However, the duration of the agreement remains unclear, and Rockstar Games has not yet announced a PC version for the title.

Following initial reports of exclusivity, Xbox chief strategy officer Matthew Ball clarified on X that the streaming will not be exclusive to Microsoft nor available on PCs. This indicates the deal applies strictly to Xbox console streaming.

In November, coinciding with the game's release, Microsoft is implementing hourly streaming limits for Game Pass subscribers and introducing a pay-as-you-go option for Xbox Cloud Gaming.
