Key information
Details for the unannounced Xbox Elite Series 3 controller have leaked once again through the backend of the Xbox Design Lab website. The datamined information, which surfaced on Reddit, outlines several potential hardware upgrades for Xbox's premium controller line aimed at core and competitive gamers.
According to the leak, the controller is expected to offer Hall Effect and Tunnel Magnetoresistance (TMR) stick options. These magnetic technologies eliminate physical wear and stick drift, with wording suggesting customers might choose between them, though the default remains unclear.
The upcoming gamepad is also referenced with advanced haptics resembling features found on the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller, alongside the return of impulse triggers. Other notable mentions include a dedicated audio scroll wheel, customizable and replaceable faceplates, and multiple d-pad choices.
Xbox reportedly plans to offer two primary versions named Base and Complete, with both providing the option for a haptics motor to create four total product configurations. While no official release date has been confirmed, this detailed leak suggests an official announcement may be approaching.
