Key information

Microsoft has accidentally revealed the next-generation Xbox Elite Series 3 controller within its Xbox Design Lab service. The service recorded a controller named "Edessa," which is connected to an accessory or customization product titled "Beatrice." The upcoming device is reportedly designed to offer greater customizability than the existing Elite Series 2.

Reported thumbstick options feature Hall effect modules with standard, loose, and tight tensions, alongside a TMR-based option, a low-friction "silent" stick choice, and standard or longer neck designs. Haptic feedback may combine impulse trigger motors with voice-coil haptics. Other mentioned hardware additions include an "Audio Scroll Wheel" physical dial, metal finish faceplates, multiple colors, engraving options, and various D-pad designs.

Paddle configurations span standard, classic, and doublewide shapes, with lengths and layouts like a Butterfly arrangement or no upper paddles. The data shows four SKUs divided into Elite Complete and Base versions, each offered with or without motors. The Elite Complete package features a carrying case, charging dock, and extra paddles, whereas the Base model includes a cable and a simpler setup. Although Microsoft and configurator provider Spectrum removed the data from public records, a Reddit user preserved portions of the information.
