Where Dolls Hang is a first-person psychological survival horror game heavily inspired by Silent Hill. The project draws inspiration from a real-world location in Mexico famous for the legend of the island of hanging dolls, immersing players in an environment filled with strange occurrences.
The narrative begins as human remains appear inside dolls on a beach. Players must investigate by exploring forests and abandoned buildings, while using a boat to navigate swamps. Gameplay involves gathering clues, solving puzzles, and documenting evidence using a camera.
Survival mechanics emphasize resource management, as inventory space is restricted. Players must craft healing items and decide whether to fight, flee, or find alternative routes. Additionally, VHS tapes scattered throughout the world provide recordings that reveal details about the unfolding events.
The title is currently being developed by a single person. Due to this solo development, the creator notes that specific game elements and story details may be subject to change throughout the production process.
