Key information
Ubisoft is reportedly working to revitalize the Watch Dogs franchise by bringing the games to more players and preparing a controversial third game relaunched by a well-known source.
According to Insider Gaming, Watch Dogs: Legion - Director's Cut is real and scheduled for release in the first half of 2027. Tom Henderson previously reported in March 2026 that the Director's Cut was in production featuring new story content and various improvements.
Additionally, the Watch Dogs DedSec Collection was spotted for the Nintendo Switch 2 featuring all three games in the series, though Ubisoft has not yet made any official statements regarding these reports. Insider Gaming notes that the publisher likely aims to release the collection around the same timeframe in 2027.
While these plans remain unconfirmed officially, Insider Gaming maintains a solid track record for early leaks concerning Ubisoft's internal operations.
