Key information

Developer Auroch Digital is preparing to launch Warhammer Survivors on November 10. Following a 10-hour demo session, the title has been described as feeling less like a simple spin-off and more like a proper sequel to Vampire Survivors, bringing various new ideas such as followers and more overt boss battles to the bullet heaven genre.

The singleplayer game includes classic Vampire Survivors features like weapon evolutions, arcana, and challenges, but with Warhammer-themed twists, such as experience skulls instead of gems and Extremis bosses replacing Red Death. Players also gain access to unique weapons like weaponised Nuln oil and explosive dice. Enemy factions feature distinct traits, such as Tyranids empowered by synapse-using members or Orks initiating a WAAAGH to spawn in greater numbers.

Players select either the Warhammer 40k or Age of Sigmar universe before playing, with characters, unlocks, and upgrades remaining specific to each universe. Additionally, the game already functions well on the Steam Deck, where it has received positive impressions regarding its performance ahead of the November 10 release date.
