Developer One More Level Games is launching Valor Mortis on October 13 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The title will arrive simultaneously on Game Pass and offer a free trial for PlayStation Plus subscribers.
As a first-person soulslike, the project puts players in the role of William, a fallen soldier in Napoleon's army who gains special powers while fighting infected soldiers mutated by a plague. Participants hunt for Ambers and Catalysts to customize stats and unlock abilities.
Xbox subscribers get full access immediately, while PlayStation Plus members receive a 90-minute trial. Since completion takes roughly 20 hours, the trial covers a solid portion of the adventure, and saved progress carries over if purchased later.
Priced at $39.99 on all platforms, publisher Lyrical Games chose a lower cost to better compete amid a crowded autumn release schedule. Digital pre-orders are absent to ensure simultaneous access without paywalled exclusive content, though physical disc editions are available for pre-order.
