Key information
Following his acclaimed performance as Gustave in Sandfall Interactive's Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, British actor Charlie Cox has officially signed with a major publisher for a new, currently unnamed video game project. The actor, widely recognized for his portrayal of Daredevil, confirmed his involvement during the New York Comic Con 2026.
The collaboration involves a partnership with SEGA. During production, Cox encountered an unexpected challenge regarding his character's voice. Although the development team initially anticipated an American accent, they discovered the actor was British upon his arrival. Consequently, Cox had to record approximately 40 hours of dialogue without prior preparation for the required accent.
While the specific title remains undisclosed even to the actor himself, the project appears to be in early development. SEGA has a history of integrating high-profile talent into their titles, such as the diverse cast featured in RGG Studio's upcoming Stranger Than Heaven, which includes figures like Snoop Dogg and Yu Shirota.
Public speculation regarding the nature of this project has already begun. Some observers suggest potential involvement in the next Persona entry or a future installment of the Judgment series, given Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio's established practice of casting well-known actors in their games. Official details regarding the title are currently pending.
