Key information
The multiplayer horror game The Outlast Trials, developed by Red Barrels, has established a new historical peak of concurrent players on Steam after receiving a 90 percent discount during the Autumn Sale.
The title is available for 3,89 euros compared to its usual 38,99 euros, reaching its lowest price to date. The promotion ends on October 8, and the immediate effect pushed the game to reach 94.507 concurrent players on Steam.
This figure more than doubles its previous record of 36.689 players achieved in May 2023 during its early access launch. The surge also placed the game back among Steam's top sellers during the sale.
The Outlast Trials holds "very positive" reviews on Steam with over 100.000 user reviews. Developed for up to four-player cooperative play or solo play, the Cold War-set game tasks players with surviving trials as Murkoff corporation test subjects.
