Key information
The gaming release schedule for the week of October 12 features a variety of titles across multiple genres. While the week lacks a singular standout blockbuster, it offers several new experiences ranging from historical strategy to narrative-driven adventures.
Strategy and action fans can look forward to Battleplan, a WW2 real-time strategy game launching October 12, and Valor Mortis, a first-person soulslike arriving October 13. Additionally, the off-roading title Over the Hill debuts on October 14, allowing players to navigate 4x4 vehicles from the 60s to 80s with up to three friends.
Narrative and platforming enthusiasts have new options as well. Among the Trolls, a first-person adventure set in Finnish forests, and the 2D platformer Castlevania: Belmont's Curse both offer demos as of October 14 and 15 respectively. Furthermore, Beyond These Stars introduces a unique city-building mechanic where players construct settlements on the back of a space whale.
Beyond these primary launches, the week includes additional titles such as Planet Zoo 2, Deep Dish Dungeon, Total War: Shogun 2 - Complete Edition, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. Interested players can find these games available via Steam.
