Key information

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has issued a 750,000 euro fine regarding a raffle for a custom Tesla Model S Plaid. The promotion, which ran from December 24, 2024, to January 6, 2025, involved selling digital wallpapers for one euro each to enter the contest. Authorities classified the event as an illegal raffle due to a lack of required authorization.

The fine was specifically levied against EBR Management SLU rather than the content creator himself. While the raffle generated approximately 377,000 euros in gross revenue from nearly 400,000 entries, the Ministry rejected the company's defense that the event was merely a promotional combination rather than a regulated raffle.

TheGrefg has publicly addressed the situation, labeling reports of his personal fine as completely false. He clarified that he was hired by the company to conduct the promotion and explicitly stated that he does not own EBR Management SLU. He emphasized that he would accept responsibility if he were personally penalized, but maintained that the legal action is directed solely at the firm that contracted him.
