Key information

The Witcher: Monster Slayer, the mobile game inspired by Pokemon GO and developed by Spokko for CD Projekt, has become playable again thanks to a fan-led revival project. CD Projekt previously shut down the official servers on June 30, 2023, after the title failed to meet commercial expectations.

Known as The Witcher: Monster Slayer - Revival Project and led by NatusAnima, the initiative rebuilds the game server to communicate with the client. It uses version 1.1.116 as a base, which precedes the major 2.0 update.

The revived version allows players to enjoy the game entirely offline while recovering nearly all original features. However, real-money microtransactions in the store are absent, and certain multiplayer elements do not yet function identically to the original release.

Currently, the installation process requires modern Android devices and a Google account that previously downloaded the official application while it was available. The process takes roughly 15 minutes, demands between 6 and 10 GB of free space, and may still produce errors.
