CD Projekt Red has launched Patch 5.01 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Remastered. This update is currently available for players on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, aiming to address various technical and gameplay concerns.
The update introduces improvements to lighting, specifically targeting bloom issues that previously caused distractions. Additional lighting refinements include adjustments to tone mapping, character lighting, ray tracing, and path tracing.
PC-specific bugs have been addressed, including issues where unsupported graphics settings could be enabled or incorrect GPUs selected. The patch also fixes problems with DLSS or XeSS being applied to unsupported hardware and resolves a bug where GTAO Quality settings would reset upon restarting the game.
Gameplay adjustments include improved ladder animations and fixes for Geralt's collision with defeated enemies. Furthermore, the update ensures dodging is more responsive, prevents stamina from fully draining during simultaneous sprinting and dodging, and stops Vesemir from repeating dialogue lines excessively.
