Key information
An eBay promotion hosted by the official Meta Store provides a discounted option for virtual reality enthusiasts seeking hardware during the October sales period. Buyers can obtain a refurbished Meta Quest 3 512GB model for $439.99 by applying the coupon code COUNTDOWN20 at checkout.
The discounted hardware purchase includes an extended two-year warranty provided by AllState. Because these reconditioned units ship directly from Meta, they closely resemble brand-new purchases, and the price sits below the original manufacturer suggested retail price of $499.99 as well as the later $599.99 figure.
IGN commerce manager and reviewer Eric Song notes that while the Quest 3 shares the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, Touch Plus controllers, and mixed reality passthrough with the cheaper Quest 3S, the standard Quest 3 delivers superior visual clarity. It features a higher resolution display of 2064x2208 compared to 1832x1920, a wider field of view, pancake lenses instead of Fresnel lenses, and increased storage capacity.
When evaluated against competitor hardware like the Steam Frame, the discounted Meta Quest 3 costs less than half the price, maintaining its status as a top standalone consumer option according to the reviewer.
