Key information

Image Comics has officially unveiled Omen-Bound, an upcoming dark fantasy series created by writer Jim Zub and artist Alberto J. Alburquerque. The ongoing comic book series is scheduled to debut in March 2027.

The narrative follows a group of warriors and priests tasked with transporting a dangerous supernatural prisoner to a realm beyond reality. Throughout their journey, the characters face trials that reveal hidden truths about their world and themselves, blending sword and sorcery tropes with high emotional stakes.

Zub, known for his work on Dungeons & Dragons and Conan the Barbarian, is collaborating with Alburquerque, colorist Misty Coats, and letterer Marshall Dillon. Both Zub and Alburquerque have described the project as a significant passion endeavor.

Promotional efforts for the series begin at this year’s New York Comic Con. Attendees can obtain limited black and white preview editions of Omen-Bound at Artist Alley tables I-33 and A-33 on a first-come, first-served basis.
