Key information
Bandai Namco recently debuted a first look at Yujiro Hanma, an upcoming guest character from Baki the Grappler, during the Evo France 2026 event. The teaser provides a brief glimpse of the villain's character model, highlighting his distinct facial expressions and muscular physique within the Tekken 8 engine.
The reveal accompanied updates for the Season 3 pass, which also features the kangaroo fighter Roger Jr. While Roger Jr. is scheduled for early access on November 11 and a full launch on November 16, Yujiro currently lacks a confirmed release date. Both characters are part of the four-fighter Season 3 lineup, which is priced at $34.99.
Development on the Baki character appears to be ongoing. Bandai Namco has scheduled a follow-up trailer for Yujiro to premiere during the Tekken World Tour Finals on January 17, 2027. Observers anticipate that this event may provide further gameplay footage and potentially clarify the character's official release timing, following the studio's typical pattern of spacing out DLC content.
Producer Naoya Yasuda and promotion director Yuki Yokoi previously discussed the creative challenges of integrating a character known for never losing into the game's roster. This inclusion follows previous seasons that introduced fighters such as Heihachi, Armor King, and Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy 16.
