Key information
On September 25, 2026, SteelSeries announced the upcoming domestic release of two new variations for its Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 tenkeyless gaming keyboard: the Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Cyber and the Apex Pro Tkl Gen 3 Steel. Both models are scheduled to launch in Japan on October 2.
Part of the high-end Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 series, these keyboards utilize SteelSeries' proprietary OmniPoint 3.0 magnetic hall-effect key switches. While the base model was released in 2024, the newly announced variants distinguish themselves through different operating forces.
Specifically, the Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Cyber features lighter Speed switches with an operating force of approximately 35g. In contrast, the Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 Steel is equipped with heavier Control switches requiring roughly 50g of operating force.
Both units come fully equipped with essential high-end features such as rapid trigger and SOCD capabilities. Additionally, they incorporate a three-layer sound-dampening design intended to suppress typing vibrations and noise while providing a softer key touch.
