Key information
Japanese independent game studio Wild Dog has announced that its multiplayer ramen shop management simulation game, Japanese Ramen Simulator, will launch in Early Access on Steam on October 9. The title was originally scheduled for a late September release, but experienced an emergency delay due to Steam review processes and other factors.
The game supports cooperative play for up to 6 players, requiring participants to handle everything from ingredient preparation, broth simmering, and noodle boiling to taking orders, serving dishes, washing dishes, and cleaning the store. Key elements of the culinary process include controlling noodle firmness, broth temperature, ingredient aromas, umami, and serving speed, while physics-based plating ensures unique final products for every bowl.
In addition to ramen, players can design a diverse menu featuring side dishes and drinks like gyoza, chashu rice bowls, and beer, which require careful heat control and foam-to-liquid ratio management. Operators will also face random emergencies such as dine-and-dash customers, thieves, and kitchen fires, requiring them to use tools like shuriken or fire extinguishers.
To apologize for the prior delay, the developer announced that Japanese Ramen Simulator will feature a 15 percent discount upon its Steam Early Access release on October 9.
