Torchlight: Infinite will launch its SS14 season, 'The Beast of Talos,' globally on October 16 at 10:00. Players will assume the role of a warden within the Talos prison, managing inmates and suppressing riots to secure valuable loot through a unique capture and cultivation mechanic.
The season introduces a 'Follower' system, allowing players to recruit mercenaries like wolves or rats using 'Letters of Recommendation.' These followers do not occupy skill slots and can be customized with two additional skills, offering strategic combat benefits without disrupting existing character builds.
Yuga receives a third hero trait, 'The Last Man,' featuring a 'Clockwork Core' that entangles active skills to boost damage and reduce cooldowns via critical hits. Additionally, new gear affixes and universal support skills are being added to expand build diversity and flexibility for all players.
Quality-of-life updates include improved trading house search filters, automated crafting features, and visual enhancements for hero models. Players can also utilize the new 'Pet Assistance' system to select legacy mechanics for loot drops, alongside various login rewards and event-based items to support their progression.
