Key information
Independent developer Fortified Studios has officially unveiled its upcoming PC title, Sort of the Apocalypse. The game is currently scheduled for release in December 2026.
This first-person simulation game takes place in a post-civilization world, yet it intentionally avoids combat or survival mechanics. Instead, players focus entirely on organizing a cluttered underground shelter, dedicating their efforts solely to tidying up the environment.
The gameplay involves managing over 6000 items, including food, medical supplies, electronics, weapons, and clothing. By correctly sorting and storing these objects, players earn credits. These funds can be used to upgrade character attributes like movement speed or carrying capacity, eventually unlocking automated collection and sorting features.
As of the current announcement, the PC version of Sort of the Apocalypse does not support the Japanese language. Interested players should monitor the title for further updates regarding its development.
