Sony is engaged in discussions to secure a cinematic adaptation based on Electronic Arts' successful shooter franchise, according to reports. Filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie is attached to helm the project as writer, director, and producer, while actor Michael B. Jordan is participating as a producer.

Variety noted that negotiations followed a competitive bidding process involving various studios, though Sony chose not to provide comments regarding these talks. Jordan might potentially take on a starring role alongside producing duties, subject to specific conditions.
