Key information
Silent Hill: Townfall has received its 1.4.0 update, version 1.5.154194, which introduces significant adjustments to the antagonist known as The Weight. This update aims to refine the encounter design by modifying the behavior of this major enemy that stalks the protagonist, Simon.
The patch reduces the aggression of The Weight, preventing it from camping outside doors or objectives for extended durations. Furthermore, the enemy will no longer repeatedly search the same area. Most notably, on Story and Normal difficulty settings, The Weight now inflicts heavy damage rather than an instant death attack.
Additional gameplay refinements include decreased enemy sensitivity to sound and improved reaction windows following grapples. Other enemies are now restricted from initiating grapples while the player is blocking with a melee weapon. The update also adds a hint for the final puzzle and a manual for Remote Systems Control.
Technical improvements in this release address frame pacing and stuttering issues. Konami has also implemented missing key bindings for AZERTY keyboard users. The game is currently available for players on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
