Key information
Rumors regarding a mobile superhero title codenamed Project Comet circulated for months before an X post by MultiverSusie shared animations and concept art. Subsequently, a video appearing to be a trailer emerged on Bilibili and was reposted on YouTube.
The footage displays Marvel figures such as Wolverine and Spider-Man in real-time combat featuring cooldowns, sharing visual similarities with Marvel Rivals and Genshin Impact. Descriptions indicate collectible mechanics resembling a gacha game where users acquire heroes using currency, targeted at Android and iOS platforms.
The trailer features a disjointed voice-over, uncoordinated sound effects, and an abrupt ending, indicating it represents an unfinished build. However, X user Miller Ross reported that the title was seeking beta testers four months prior.
Reports from MultiverSusie listed twelve expected heroes, while reporter Sarge highlighted a Scopely job advertisement implying the venture is a free-to-play, open-world adventure supporting crossplay across mobile and PC devices.
Scopely, funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, is allegedly developing Project Comet. The fund previously acquired Niantic in 2025 and finalized a multi-billion purchase of EA.
