Key information

Grand Theft Auto VI is developed and published by Rockstar Games, with its launch scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not officially announced a PC version at this time. The title arrives more than thirteen years after Grand Theft Auto V.

According to details explained by the developer in Game Informer, GTA 6 will feature the largest map Rockstar Games has created to date. The dimension of Leónida is twice as large as the map in GTA 5. The world will feature a satellite image view to observe explored areas in detail, an advanced weather system, minijuegos, and narrative choices that impact the story.

Rockstar has confirmed fast travel options, which include RydeMe, a transport service behaving like an Uber where a vehicle automatically drives the player to their destination. Passengers can talk to other travelers or pass the time looking at their mobile phones. Additionally, the Snapmatic app makes a return, while characters Jason and Lucia will avoid posting their own content on social media to prevent being tracked.

Vehicle theft mechanics will vary depending on the car, requiring traditional techniques for older vehicles or specialized tools and the WAiNK application to locate advanced security and tracking systems on top-tier sports cars. Meanwhile, escaping from police will be more difficult due to increased road traffic.
