Key information

Square Enix has launched a Steam demo for Vaultbreakers, an extraction action RPG developed by BetaDwarf. The title is slated for release under the Square Enix Collective label.

The game features top-down exploration in PvE or PvPvE environments. Players must navigate dangerous fields to collect ancient artifacts, which are lost if the player fails to return them to a safe base. Success relies on gathering loot, gaining knowledge, and improving player skills to reach the depths of the Dragon Vault.

The current demo allows users to select one of two playable characters to explore early-game maps either solo or in co-op. Additional characters and the PvPvE mode are scheduled to become available during an alpha playtest running from October 16 to October 23, or in the final product.

Prospective players should note that the upcoming alpha playtest may contain sections where Japanese language support is not yet implemented.
