Razer has announced the release of the Wolverine V4 controller series, featuring the wireless Wolverine V4 Pro and the wired Wolverine V4 Tournament Edition. Designed for Xbox and PC, these controllers aim to enhance competitive gaming performance through advanced sensor technology and high polling rates.

The series introduces new capacitive analog stick sensors that offer high resolution and anti-drift capabilities. On PC, the controllers support a polling rate of up to 8,000 Hz, while Xbox Series X|S support reaches 250 Hz. Razer reports that these improvements, combined with a response time under 1 ms, provide significantly faster input detection compared to standard controllers.

Professional player LastShot, a 2025 Halo world champion, praised the controller for its responsive buttons and customizable back buttons, noting that the new design allows for personalized configurations that maintain a competitive edge. However, Razer specifies that certain features, including wireless connectivity, detachable faceplates, and swappable back buttons, are exclusive to the Pro model.

The controllers include Razer Pro HyperTriggers, which allow users to adjust trigger travel between 1.3 mm and 8.2 mm via Razer Synapse. Additional customization options include four onboard profiles, swappable analog stick caps, and mechanical tactile buttons. The series is currently available through Razer's official website, retail stores, and authorized dealers.
