Sega broadcasted an official information program for the online RPG PSO2 New Genesis ver.2 on October 6, 2026, outlining a wave of upcoming content beginning October 7, 2026. The updates feature class level cap expansions, a brand-new equipment category, and high-difficulty quests.
Starting October 7, 2026, the class level cap will be raised to Lv.125. Alongside this increase, combat power requirements of 5,000 or higher will bring upward adjustments to M.A.R.S. and special weaponry. Additionally, tech arts customization expands to include wired lances, partisans, and wind and dark techniques, completing the availability for all photon arts and techniques.
A new equipment category named amulets is introduced as character enhancement. The first equipment slot being deployed features a design intended to remain viable long-term without new amulets planned for this specific slot. These items drop with four special capability parameters and one of 10 preset abilities tied to photon blasts, obtainable through limited-time emergency quests.
The October 28, 2026 update will introduce Rank.3 of the urgent quest Star-Shattering Advance featuring the new boss enemy Dario Rudean in a four-player restricted challenge. Successful completion yields the new 15-star armor Incredia Armor, which boasts an 8.7% weapon enhancement increase.
