ARC SYSTEM WORKS ASIA officially announced at EVO France 2026 that the 2D fighting game BlazBlue: Central Fiction is coming to the PlayStation 5. This title serves as the conclusion to the long-running series, which originally debuted in 2008.

The new PlayStation 5 version introduces Rollback Netcode to improve online match stability across different regions. Additionally, the developer confirmed that the game will support cross-platform play with the existing Steam version.

To broaden accessibility, the story mode will receive support for four additional languages: French, Italian, German, and Spanish. Furthermore, the update includes the addition of Trinity Glassfil as a playable character and planned enhancements to the training mode features.

While the game is known for its deep Drive strategic systems and complex narrative, specific details regarding the release schedule for these updates remain pending. Further information will be shared by the company at a later date.
