Key information

The game jam event LSDJAM is returning in 2026 to honor the 1998 PlayStation adventure title LSD. Known for its psychedelic, goal-less exploration, the original game was released on October 22, 1998, and marketed as a dream emulator.

Organized annually by developer Figglewatts, the event challenges participants to create interactive, dream-based games. While the official development period runs from October 22, 2026, to March 1, 2027, the jam features no winners or losers, and late submissions are accepted without penalty.

Participants may use any game engine, such as Godot or Ren'Py, provided the focus remains on player enjoyment. However, the event guidelines explicitly prohibit the use of generative AI. Developers are also advised to include content warnings for sensitive material.

The jam has previously fostered successful projects, including Dream Fishing, which explored dream-like worlds and eventually launched on Steam. Interested creators can currently register for LSDJAM 2026 via itch.io.
